In this week's episode Melly honors Black History by sharing the remarkable stories of Denmark Vesey and Gullah Jack. These activist fought for their freedom and inspired others to rise up against slavery and oppression. This is a story that is not often told but is important to share. Everyone at In Between the Veil believe strongly in sharing people's story and that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are important parts of storytelling. This story also offers us the opportunity to learn from history and to acknowledge our past so we can do better for our future.
